What is your role within the SCQFP?

I am the executive assistant at SCQF Partnership, which means I do loads of things. These include supporting the CEO, preparing Board and committee meetings, office management, finance processing, IT and HR support, and making sure the office has snacks. 

What do you look forward to achieving in your role?

I look forward to supporting my team in their fantastic work sharing, assuring and utilising the SCQF. I’m also looking forward to learning more about the Framework itself. I think it’s so cool because it quantifies something which can be pretty vague – ‘learning’ – in such a clear and accessible way. 

Career to far?

I studied Scottish Language and Literature at Glasgow University then worked in the learning teams of various Scottish heritage sites after I graduated, including the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum and The Battle of Bannockburn. Before SCQFP, I was project coordinator at Drake Music Scotland, coordinating music projects for disabled young people in schools and other learning settings. So there’s always been some sort of learning aspect to my work – and now I get to work with Scotland’s national framework for learning!

In this latter sense, the term applies in all contexts including academic study, eg footnoting properly.
